Texas Patriots PAC recommends Brandon Creighton for Senate District 4

(The Woodlands, Texas) In the Senate District 4 special election runoff, the Texas Patriots PAC recommends Brandon Creighton. In the special election that was held on May 10th, we had recommended Creighton and two other candidates, Steve Toth and Gordy Bunch. Only Representatives Toth and Creighton moved on to the Runoff. We have reevaluated each of these two candidate's path to victory given the results of the May 10 election. Our view is that while both Creighton and Toth are outstanding conservative

Who is Missing From These Pictures? – Stunning No-Show at the HCRP

There was a remarkable event Monday morning at the headquarters of the Harris County Republican Party. It was a packed standing room only crowd expressing unity at a Republican press conference with a wide swath of Texans, not just Houstonians, in attendance. Several notable politicians were there taking time out of their busy day- before-the-election schedule to be there. There was a stunning no-show as well.

Glenn Hegar for Comptroller Walks the Walk – Passed Massive Tax Cuts

Many people have wondered how I came to the conclusion to personally support Senator Glenn Hegar for Texas Comptroller of Public accounts over the other candidates. The answer is simple. I have seen Glenn Hegar walk the walk and not just talk the talk. In the 2013 Texas legislative session, Senator Glenn Hegar pushed through a massive franchise tax relief bill that cut taxes on businesses by hundreds of millions of dollars. Interestingly enough, the bill was introduced in the Texas House by Hilderbran, who is also running for Texas Comptroller.   Read more »

Is the Harris County GOP Low Hanging Fruit for the Democrats?

So, clearly I have a dog in the fight for the Harris County GOP Chairman's race. Every Republican voter in Harris County should have a dog in the fight for this race; it is ground zero for the future of the nation, I kid you not. Jared Woodfill, the current county chairmen and his loyal followers, (based on the fear that Jared will lose his bid for re-election) have laid claim to the moral future of Harris County.   Read more »

What Adryana Boyne’s Primary Race could mean to the Texas GOP

Adryana Boyne’s primary race in Texas State House District 102 has drawn national and statewide attention. She will be the second Hispanic Republican woman to serve in the Texas State House. She has a long history of political activism in Texas and nationally, including experience in articulating, lobbying for and defending conservative values and policies, in Spanish and in English.

Texas will be majority Hispanic by the year 2020. The GOP has a pressing need to find bilingual spokespersons who can help Americans of every background and language understand that our GOP values are the values many Hispanics and other Americans already embrace. Being bilingual,

TexasGOPVote Blogger Endorsements: Larry Perrault

US Senator
I have supported John Cornyn in the past. I believe he is a genuine conservative who cares about Texas and The Constitution. But I can’t support him at this point. The time for the genteel status quo push-pull is past, and Cornyn has been too taken up by party Leadership of which he is a part. I agree with Cornyn and others who say they have the same ideals as more conservatives, but may differ on tactics. Yes, it’s their tactics that I think are ineffectual. We will act decisively to rescue a buried constitutional ideal or it will be suffocated under heresies and defiance of it.

Barry Smitherman Campaign Takes Its Message to Television

As the run-up to early voting, which starts in just over two weeks, Texas Attorney General candidate, Railroad Commission Chairman Barry Smitherman, is taking his message to the voters with a new television ad which launched this morning.

My first ad focuses on border security and prosecution of crime along the border because that will be one of my top priorities as the next Attorney General,” said Barry Smitherman.   Read more »

TexasSparkle Interviews Ryan Sitton for Texas Railroad Commissioner

Kathleen McKinley, a blogger for the Houston Chronicle better known as TexasSparkle, said in an interview with Texas Railroad Commission Candidate Ryan Sitton, "I got this thing for engineers. Why? Because they are the smartest people I know." Having come to know Ryan Sitton over the past few months, I don't think I could disagree with her, especially as it relates to him.

It is apparent she really does like engineers. She married one!  She said she tried to talk him into running for office, to no avail, but now she has found an engineer who is willing to do just that - Ryan Sitton.   Read more »
